E911 Manager® Earns JITC Certification, Now Available on DISA Approved Products List
Department of Defense (DoD) entities looking to automate their E911 location information management on bases and other installations can now find RedSky and E911 Manager® on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL).
After successfully completing the rigorous Joint Interoperability Test Command’s (JITC) certification process, E911 Manager® Version 6.3.1 is now approved for use as an E911 Management System (EMS) with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The move paves the way for the DoD to join many other Federal entities who already trust E911 Manager® for their E911 protection including several large agencies, the Army National Guard and the Air Force National Guard.
E911 Manager® integrates with major call servers and PBXs to track the detailed location of all types of phones on the enterprise network including analog, digital, SIP, H.323, WiFi and softphones. The application then automatically updates the location information used by call takers in public safety answering points (PSAPs) throughout the country to dispatch emergency response.
E911 Manager® also provides Emergency On-site Notification that provides security forces with the location of each 9-1-1 caller when the call is placed. This feature speeds the response to people in need. E911 Manager® can also provide up to date and accurate location information to NENA standard Public Safety Answering Point equipment.
