RedSky’s Jerry Eisner Elected to NG 9-1-1 Institute’s Board of Directors

Chicago -- The NG9-1-1 Institute, a leading voice on E911 and emergency communications issues, has elected Jerry Eisner, ENP, RedSky’s group director of Public Safety, to a two-year term on its Board of Directors.

Working closely with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors oversees the NG 9-1-1 Institute’s operations and is comprised of 15 members including four permanent seats held by representatives from the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International, the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the National Association of State 911 Administrators (NASNA). The remaining 11 members represent wireless carriers, large and small telecommunications companies, IP-enabled service providers, educational professionals, public safety, and vendor/integrator/software providers.

“It’s an honor to be called to serve our industry in this capacity and to be nominated for such an important position,” said Eisner. “The NG 9-1-1 Institute’s voice is shaping the future of emergency communications in this country and I believe my experience and contacts will allow me to help further the organization’s goals.”

Eisner, has been involved in public safety communications for more than 25 years. His experience in many fields including two-way radio systems, computer-aided dispatch and records management systems, facility design and construction management, E911 customer premise equipment, infrastructure, and database management, and Next Generation 9-1-1 has made him a recognized industry subject management expert. Eisner is a 20-year member of NENA during which he has worked on many technical committees and publications for the organization. He joined RedSky in 2011 to lead the company’s efforts in the Next Generation 9-1-1 and public safety arena.
