RedSky's E911 Manager and Phybridge's Network Switch Combine for Improved Location Identification

In a move that connects two powerful communications providers this week, Phybridge and RedSky have revealed that Phybridge’s UniPhyer network switch solution is now certified to operate with RedSky’s E911 Manager.

Delivering Ethernet and Power-over-Ethernet solutions, the Phybridge UniPhyer network switch can reach over 1200 feet over a single pair of wires, according to the company. By gaining certifiable operability with RedSky’s E911 Manager, Phybridge’s solution now works in tandem with the E911 system to address location identification of VoIP calls.

As a provider of risk-free IP Telephony deployment infrastructure, Phybridge revealed that this integration enables any enterprise to deploy more a granular E911 solution with RedSky’s E911 Manager.

RedSky’s Director of Product Management, Youngwook Song, stated, “We are very pleased to announce that the UniPhyer VoIP enabler solution from Phybridge has been fully compliance tested with RedSky’s E911 Manager. Enterprises using the award-winning Phybridge UniPhyer will be able to implement a location based E911 solution ‘down to the desktop,’ operating with RedSky’s E911 Manager.”

The enterprise is concerned with emergency location identification as many hold legacy systems that prevent them from effectively providing emergency response and staying prepared. VoIP-based E911 solutions are becoming more prevalent, especially in the government and legal sectors, and Phybridge’s integration with RedSky serves to bolster this movement toward hosted E911 that is becoming more realized
