RedSky is now part of Everbridge, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVBG), a global software company that provides enterprise software applications that automate and accelerate organizations’ operational response to critical events in order to keep people safe and businesses running. Over 5,400 global customers rely on the company’s Critical Event Management Platform to quickly and reliably aggregate and assess threat data, locate people at risk and responders able to assist, automate the execution of pre-defined communications processes through the secure delivery to over 100 different communication devices, and track progress on executing response plans.
Prior to joining Everbridge, RedSky’s founder learned about a tragedy in which a woman lost her life because emergency responders could not find her exact location. After this event, RedSky was formed to create solutions that breach gaps in the 9-1-1 system. Our mission has remained the same since them. We will provide organizations with an E911 solution that protects their employees no matter how far they travel, or how large they grow.
Data is meaningless without context. We see a world where location information is used to increase the margins of safety as they travel throughout their city, state, country, and eventually the world. Although 911 is relegated to the United States, there is no reason that enhanced location information during emergencies should be kept from the rest of the world.
